How You Can Help

We need your support at Family Bridge to continue offering our services to the families of Washington County. Your tax-deductible gifts will help to sustain and improve our programs as well as our community.

There are a variety of ways in which individuals or organizations can help, including volunteering your personal time, donating needed supplies, making a single monetary donation, becoming a monthly donor, or including Family Bridge in your estate plan.

Volunteers

We welcome and encourage both individuals or groups to get involved at Family Bridge. To volunteer your time to work at the shelter, or find out more about group projects and volunteer opportunities, please contact JoAnn Eden, via Email or by telephone.

*Our greatest need for volunteers is on Saturdays and Sundays, from 8:00am-1:00pm. Half shifts are also available during this time from 8:00am-10:30am and 10:30am-1:00pm.

Supply Donations

If you are interested in donating to our needed supplies list, we are in search of the following items:

Clean Bedding - folded and tucked inside a pillowcase
New Toiletries - toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, etc...
Bus Fare - prepaid tickets for the Portland Metro area
Tickets or Passes - for family outings such as OMSI, movie theaters, Oregon Zoo, Children's Museum, etc...
Stamps - books or rolls preferred
Gift Certificates - small denomination amounts to local retail stores for clothing, shoes, and other necessities
Household Supplies - laundry detergent, dryer sheets, toilet paper, etc...

Due to limited storage space at the shelter, we are not able to accept donations of furniture, clothing or toys. On occasion we will accept beds if a family is moving into housing and a bed is needed, however, prior approval must be obtained. If you have a bed you would like to donate, please contact our office to inquire about the need.
