| How
You Can HelpWe
need your support at Family Bridge to continue offering our services to the families
of Washington County. Your tax-deductible gifts will help to sustain and improve
our programs as well as our community. There
are a variety of ways in which individuals or organizations can help, including
volunteering your personal time, donating needed supplies, making a single monetary
donation, becoming a monthly donor, or including Family Bridge in your estate
plan. VolunteersWe
welcome and encourage both individuals or groups to get involved at Family Bridge.
To volunteer your time to work at the shelter, or find out more about group projects
and volunteer opportunities, please contact us by telephone.
Dear Family Bridge Board, Volunteers, and Friends:
Because of budget deficiencies JoAnn Eden is no longer the Volunteer Coordinator at Family Bridge.
We appreciate your dedication to the success of our program and mission "To End Homelessness - One Family at a Time" and ask for your ongoing support.
During our time of transition we hope that you will continue to show your support by helping us fill volunteer positions
so that there is no interruption in the quality of services we provide to homeless families with children. Currently there are nearly 40 homeless families waiting to get into shelter.
If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me. I would love to meet with you to discuss ways to increase volunteerism, funding and services that help families become more self-sufficient as they transition out of homelessness.
Our program would not exist without dedicated, caring volunteers at the Day House and at the Host Congregations. We cannot continue without the assistance of volunteers who staff the Family Bridge Day House from 7:00-9:00 and 3-5 each day and from 8:00-5:00 on the weekends.
Please call the office to learn about current volunteer openings and ways that you can help and refer anyone you think might be interested in becoming a volunteer in the program to us for followup. We have an application process (application can be downloaded below) or call the office for more information: 503-844-2919
Respectfully,
Annie Heart, Executive Director
