Family
Bridge is currently comprised of a full time Executive Director and a Volunteers
Program Manager, governed by a Board of Directors.

Annie
Heart Executive Director |
Annie
has a Masters in Justice and Peace Studies from Iliff School of Theology, a Methodist
Seminary in Denver.
Prior
to joining Family Bridge, she was Director of the Goose Hollow Family Shelter
in Portland.
Annie
moved to Oregon from Utah where she worked with churches to develop community
outreach programs related to human rights, nonviolent social change, peacemaking
and restorative justice.
She
served on the Board of the Coalition of Religious Communities, was a member of
the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Interfaith Organizing Committee and a member
of the Domestic Violence Coalition.
Annie
has three daughters and three grandchildren. She believes that volunteers are
the heart of what we do and that even the smallest act of kindness can make a
difference. |

JoAnn
Eden Volunteers Program Manager |
JoAnn
has a Bachelor's in Sociology from the University of Oregon.
Prior
to joining Family Bridge, she worked in San Francisco as a group home counselor
for children with special needs and a teaching assistant for differently abled
adolescents in a public high school.
"I
am proud to be the Volunteer Program Manager at Family Bridge and strongly believe
in helping homeless families with children become self sufficient. Working in
non-profit agencies that are community and social service based and that rely
heavily on volunteers has been my career focus for many years. I grew up in Hillsboro
and find it rewarding to work in a community where I have strong ties."
In
1993 JoAnn returned to Oregon and became an active volunteer in the Beaverton
elementary school system as well as leading a Beaverton Neighborhood Association
Committee that promoted community involvement.
In
her spare time she enjoys being with her two teenage sons, playing with her dog,
reading, yoga, hiking, and traveling.
Family
Bridge is part of the steering committee for Home Plate, a collaboration of several
churches, youth service agencies, and community volunteers who provide a weekly
dinner for youth ages 12-19 as well as recreational activities, showers and hygiene
supplies, and information and resource referrals.
Volunteers
Our
volunteers are our lifeline and survival at Family Bridge. Nothing we do would
be possible without the hundreds of individuals who graciously donate their time
and services.
